KARA DOTTERER

Kara specializes in figuring out and supporting the financial picture for our forensic and income analyses and business valuations. Since joining Harper Hofer, Kara has analyzed accounting records, evaluated potential frauds, traced assets in divorce disputes, and assisted with business valuations. Her primary focus is business valuation and other financial analyses for family law purposes.

She joined the Harper Hofer team in 2022 after completing her Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree and while working on her Master’s in Business Administration. Prior to joining HHA, Kara was fortunate to gain experience as an accounting analyst at a logistics service company in Ohio while attending the University of Akron. This hands-on experience gives her an advantage in applying her analytical and problem-solving skills to each unique project.

Kara is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and a licensed CPA in Colorado. She is a member of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA) and The Alliance of Professional Women. Kara has a green thumb, and her office has become a jungle – she’s convinced the plants are helping with her productivity. When not at the office, Kara loves hiking, hanging out with friends and family, and exploring new places. Life’s an adventure, and she is always up for it!
