My favorite ice cream is as seasonal as the weather! In winter, I’m all about peppermint—it’s like Christmas in a cone. Autumn calls for dutch apple pie ice cream, because who doesn’t want their dessert to taste like a cozy fall day? Summer’s all about honeycomb and toffee for that perfect balance of sweet and indulgent. And spring? It’s strawberry, as fresh and vibrant as the season itself. Ice cream isn’t just a dessert for me; it’s a year-round celebration!
I actually already have a personal library at home, and it’s my favorite at-home retreat! I read at least 50 books a year, and my tastes are all over the map. I also love getting lost in different worlds, different eras and seeing the variety of human perspectives.
If I could teach a course, it would be a mix of life skills and stargazing! As a longtime scout leader, I loved helping young people build character and confidence, often through outdoor adventures. Camping and hiking are some of my favorite activities here in Colorado—they’re such a great way to connect with nature and recharge. Plus, I studied astronomy, and the night sky has always fascinated me. I try to visit at least one Dark Sky Place each year to escape the city lights and reconnect with the vastness of space. There’s something magical about looking up at the stars and realizing just how big the universe is.
