Business Valuation, John

PRACTICE AREAS

RANDOM FACTS

Probably Las Vegas. I could golf at some of the best courses year-round, and I love playing Blackjack and Roulette, responsibly of course. There are also a few new sports teams that have formed in Vegas, so attending those games would be very fun.

Any type of professional athlete, but specifically a Cleveland Browns football player.

JOHN CASTELE

For nearly four years, John has been providing clients with business valuation support services, specializing in divorce litigation matters.  In addition to divorce engagements, he has a broad range of valuation experience for various other purposes such as estate and gift tax reporting, shareholder buy-in/buy-out, and corporate planning. He has also contributed to engagements pertaining to other family law matters, including income for support analysis and separate property analysis and tracing. John’s experience in business valuation has given him the opportunity to work with business owners and companies spanning all types of industries, providing him many opportunities to gain industry-specific expertise.

He began his professional career in June of 2020, working as a credit and collection analyst at Nestle®. Upon moving away from that industry in December of 2020, John transitioned into his current career, as a business valuation analyst. He previously worked in the business valuation and litigation group for a CPA firm in the Cleveland, Ohio area, prior to joining HHA in February of 2023.

John holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Corporate Finance and a minor in Economics from The Ohio State University.  In addition, to his work at HHA, he is actively pursuing his Accreditation in Business Valuation (ABV) credential from the American Institute for Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). He recently passed the two required exams for the ABV credential and expects to be fully credentialed in 2025.

Outside of his working hours, John can usually be found on the golf course on weekday evenings and weekend mornings during the summer. Additionally, he enjoys spending time with family and friends watching his favorite Cleveland and Ohio State sports teams!
